The case was part of game plan to disqualify Obaseki to run for the 2020 Edo governorship election, he has been disqualified by APC and he has settled his way in PDP by paying all defined taxes. So both APC and PDP have no interest in the case.

Let sentiment aside, Edo future is already mortgage with PDP onboard...You all that are shouting Obaseki victory now will also join to lay curses on in less than 4 years from now.
Good thing is, as d election approaches the real Edolite are beginning to think twice about Obaseki now.but Ize Iyamu isn't an option tho...

The suit was not decided on the merit. He is yet to win anything. The case was struck out for want of deligent prosecution of action.

The case is simply sleeping and not dead. It will be resurrected again at the filing of an application to relist.

Not that he was vindicated, both party fail to appear in court. This case will appear again if he wins the election because that case was file when he was in APC, so if he wins the governorship election the case will resurrect again

Not in this case. The best they can do is to refile the case considering that it was struck out for want of diligent prosecution. Neither the petitioners nor their counsel were present in court today hence the case was struck out.

The petitioners probably abandoned the case after seeing that Uiversity of Ibadan confirmed Obaseki's certificate.

There is nothing to appeal here!

Of course the claim doesn't hold water... they just needed something to hold on to tell the people he is not qualified. But they chose the wrongful of all things for a 2time governor... las las na d same people.

He is not win oooooo the judge said in its judgement that it's because the plaintiff and the defendant are not in court so there is every possibility that the case will still come up again in court....


Ize Iyamu is the next Governor of Edo state period....
