Here are some of the African countries that as re opened schools with strict measures and guidelines: 1) Tanzania These become the first coountry to allow pupils go back to school since the outbreak of coronavirus in East Africa region. Following the directives of President John Magufuli. They suspended all schools activities on 17th March, 2020 soon after the outbreak of COVID19. Authorities gave schools guidelines on what to use to prevent another outbreak and also protect pupils from thevirus 2)Guinea Guinea allowed school to reopen on 4 May. World Health Organisation, WHO assistted the government to put measures in place to make it possible for schools to reopen safely. The country as also been battling with the outbreak of Ebola Virus, so WHO provided equipment for infection control and hygiene, most eapecially soap for hand washing, disinfectants for classrooms, and thermometers for measuring children's temperatures is already provided in the school system. 3) South Africa Schools in South Africa resumed on 8 June even as some parents protested against the government to suspend the re opening of schools. 4) Cameroon In Cameroon, primary and secondary school students in final year began to return to class on Monday 1 June. The Country Minister of Secondary Education, Pauline Lyonga, say the move is to help children catch up on missed lessons and assist parents to gradually return to work. Among the measures schools in the West African country must observe are temperature checks, compulsory mask-wearing, customized school buses and designated routes to classrooms to prevent the gathering of crowds. 5) Ivory coast Among the earliest African countries to reopen their schools is Ivory Coast, they resumed learning on 25 May. However, other African countries decided to postpone the reopening of schools, due to the cases of coronavirus increasing.
