If the slots is given to them it will be implemented immediately but if not it will be suspended. This is a country where some group of vultures feast on the food made for the poor people. Its time dg for heaven to respond just as God responded to peter's prayer and the tragic end of Harold was seen in the land. God that is what we need in this country.

Saraki used to be the one sabotaging the effort of the president in ensuring transparency and accountability and now you guys have both the Senate and the House of representative and you still give us this crap. You guys should as a matter of urgency put your F**king house in order.

Youths and their display of ignorance.

NASS has every right to quiz Keyamo on the strategy put in place and measures as regarding implementation and how the system would work.

Keyamo assumes personal relationship with the presidency and being able APC stogee exonerates him from being quizzed when it comes to national matters

Much of what has been in public space has been the blackmail and libel against NASS by Keyamo without fair hearing to the accused party.

1. Keyamo needs to have a lecture on dissociation party affairs from national matters

2. Ministers under the past administration most times focused on national issues and knew how to separate it from political gains

3. As to whether members of the Senate needs personal slots isn't an excuse to not be called to provide clarity on the stratagem that will be employed in running the system

4. While Keyamo continued in his rant and armatuerish tantrums he also failed in newspaper and traditional media to put forward systems that will be put in place to ensure the operational system that will guide this idea

5. Fashion has been quizzed before by the Senate and focused in many cases fact for fact despite he too trying to throw in biases to Mar the integrity of NASS

6. When Amotekun was to be formed, the law makers quizzed a legal framework for its operations and a legal framework and technical guide should and must be in place for all federal constituted related enrolments and service to which keyamo made mention of thing about this but focused on blackmail and libel

7. Keyamo as a minister should not be acting independtly which is a typical of him to be irritated when quizzed. Anyone to serve the public must at all means be ready to be quizzed. Even the custom boss was quizzed when it mattered, CBN GOVERNOR, Minister for labour. And Keyamo should stop being petty and do the needful

8. The Presidency needs NASS and must work with NASS and can not solely and doesn't have the right on sole propertiorship on the entire exercise. This is a democracy not an autocratic arrangement
What are you saying. This rogues wanted to have an indoor meeting where they can do shaddy deals and probably get their share. Why were the senators afraid of the cameras. They want to hijack this one also as they did N power and other recruitments. These senators are all corrupt and wicked. They are after their own slot very corrupt sets of individuals who are after their belle. I have never been a fan of keyamo but on this he deserves my respect

And then respond of there has ever been any federal implementation in a democracy without senatorial approval

This same NASS passed the Revised Budget for 2020.

They slashed Health Sector budget by over 40%, the UBE budget by over 50%, only 10% was removed from the NASS budget.
They turned around to budget another millions of naira for renovation of NASS complex, while the HoR members purchased Toyota Camry, 2020 Model for about 25K Dollars each.

Here they are again, wrestling with Mr Festus Keyamo (SAN) over recruitment slot. angry

Keyamo who had appeared at an interactive session organized by the joint committee opposed a resolution of the Joint Committee to resolve into a closed door session.

This is wrong, we must not allow personal interest and sentiment into a national project meant to address the unemployment challenges in Nigeria. The resolution to suspend this effort is like throwing away the baby and the bath water and should be resisted.

This is the corruption Buhari in hey day was supposed to

Not new. Arumah Otteh of SEC exposed NASS as asking for bribe back then. It has become accepted. At this rate in 100 years Nigeria still won't get anywhere.

If these lawmakers mean well for the country they would have rejected the #27b that Buhari sent to them for the renovation of the national assembly even though the money is meant for other purposes.

If you look closely at the names of those committee members in different states, you'll understand what's under the carpet Festus Keyamo is not saying, those members are all politicians at the grassroot level and do you expect them to select 1000 ordinary Nigerians from their locality?

The people of Jol community of Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, has called on the Federal Government through the office of the Senior Assistant to President on SDGs (OSSAP-SDGS) in a petition calling for stay of legitimization of land grabbing in Riyom LGA of the State.

Petition Calling for Stay of Legitimization of Land Grabbed in Riyom LGA of Plateau State

JOL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION

Our Ref:___________ Your Ref:_________

Date: 22-06-2020

THE OFFICE OF THE SENIOR ASSISTANT TO

THE PRESIDENT ON SDGs (OSSAP-SDGS),

SUITE 201 FLOOR, BLOCK A,

FEDERAL SECRETARIAT COMPLEX PHASE 2,

SHEHU SHAGARI WAY, ABUJA.

Sir,

COMPLAINT OVER CONSTRUCTION AND FURNISHING OF 2 Nos 12 CLASSROOMS BLOCK WITH VIP TOILETS AT RANKUM (ARDO MAMUDA PRIMARY SCHOOL MAHANGA VILLAGE), RIYOM LGA, PLATEAU STATE; A CALL FOR STAY OF LEGITIMIZATION OF LAND GRABBED

Reference is hereby made to the above subject matter, Jol Community Development Association (hereinafter referred to as ‘’JOCDA”) hereby complains and states as follows:

1. That Jol Community is one of the 8 Wards that constitute Riyom District of Riyom Local Government Area, Plateau State.

2. That prior to terror attacks meted on it by suspected armed Fulani militia, JOCDA had 16 hamlets which were Dakar, Daku, Danjol, Darel, Darin, Darwat, Davwak, Fass, Hywa, Lotton, Rankum (Mahanga), Rot-Chun (Rafin-Acha), Tanjol, Tarai, Tashek I & 2, but now reduced to 7 by displacements of inhabitants of- Dakar, Daku, Darel, Darin, Davwak, Fass, Hywa, Rankum (Mahanga), Rot-Chun (Rafin-Acha) and Tashek 2 as a result of unabated terror attacks from 2001 to date.

3. That 3 of the remaining 7 hamlets have been partly displaced excluding Lotton, which recently returned after a total displacement in 2014.

4. That the Community has lost over 140 native inhabitants, hundreds injured, thousands displaced, valuables worth Millions of Naira to the Fulani’s continued aggression and mischievous grazing daily visited on the surviving natives. Pitiably, vast lands of the host community (Jol) has been forcefully taken over and occupied by the Fulani thereby impoverishing the victims whose economic potency crippled.

5. Among the hamlets completely sacked and taken over by the attackers is Rankum, which has been renamed “Mahanga village”, where your good offices sited a project of “Construction and Furnishing 12 Classrooms Block with VIP Toilets”, an action that informed this petition.

6. Surprisingly, the project was contracted and executed without due consultation with either the traditional ruler of Jol community, District Head of Riyom LGA, His Majesty, the Gbong Gwom Jos and Chairman Traditional Council of Plateau State, Local Government Council or other critical stakeholders for their information and input which would have cautioned as well as guided against siting such on land grabbed by way of armed invasions, especially as the sacked inhabitants are very much alive.

7. That JOCDA has tirelessly been calling on appropriate authorities to come to its aid with the aim of regaining possession of the land grabbed (Rankum inclusive) precipitated by terror attacks as veritable tool for acquisition of land contrary to stipulated statutory provisions, but to no avail.

8. Note also that the speed at which the construction was done within a very short time raises a lot of suspicion that the fact of this development was being railroaded in order to foist a fait accompli on the local community.

9. Going by the above sad developments, it’s deducible that the rationale behind the continued attacks on Jol and its environs is no other than ethnic cleansing and territorial expansionist agenda of the Fulani which has become routine atrocious circle ceaselessly being meted out for brazen attraction of privileges from your office and other Government institutions/agencies.

10. In the last 2 years, there were incessant aggressions on daily basis. Consequently, loss of lives and properties with attendant traumatic experiences became the order of the day, leaving the locals in a state of deep fear of another armed attack that is currently looming up in recent times, immeasurable distorted livelihood and social realities as a well perpetual fear arising.
