Petrol price will fluctuate like diesel since they claim subsidy is gone. So its no surprise. The price will go down in the future

I agree with you but how best do we sensitise and orientate our youths so that we all can be on the same page? Got any idea on this?

I dunno oh... they paid far more attention to the antics of the BBNaija and spent 7.2billion Naira on votes:

So the challenge is to organize politics like BBNaija

How can you remove subsidy when the country does not have refining capacity? Why not repair the refineries we already have with one of the recovered abacha funds
Thereby making sales of petroleum very cheap

These are all evidences of when a government decides to punish it's people. Of what benefit is it to Nigerians that we are an oil producing nation? Meanwhile most of these top shots in government don't even use their monies to fuel their vehicles o, it's our national budget that fuels their vehicles and generators...what a shame!

We export crude oil to be refined abroad.

The cost of refining a liter of fuel is different from the cost of getting crude oil from the ground.

(And we export crude because you cannot refine fuel at N165 and more and sell at N143 per liter and make an adequate profit )
I know the two are different I just used it as an example to remind you of the kind of fraud and lieing govt we are into
So I don't believe that N165 refining stuff
Why must our refining here be higher than outside our shores , that means something is wrong

Remember my example of our producing I barrel of crude at $26 while serious countries worldwide are doing the same at $3

Nothing to defend here, our government is fraud

OK...if you were selling shoes at N22000 a pair, after buying them at N18000 a pair, and government came in and said you should sell them at N5000 a pair and paid you N2000 per pair sold as 'subsidy funds', and the reason why government is demanding you do that is because 'the poor need shoes'?, would you agree.

Be honest in your answer.
yes I will, even if u sell it at subsidy price , u will still make ur profit. Greediness is d problem of our marketers, if there is no profit in the business no body will delve into it. Thus, there's need for regulation.

The marketers will not waste any time to adjust their price since it is an upward review that favours them. Bunch of greedy and selfish men.

Lol

So you will buy shoes at N18000 per pair, and sell them at N5000 per pair , and collect a subsidy of N2000 per pair of shoe sold, meaning you lose N11000 per shoe sold?

Right. You would be broke in days.

Of course that's what subsidy removal is all about. What exactly is dubious or shocking or confusing here?

Over a month ago, oil sold for about $20 and pump price was reduced to N123. Now oil price has risen over $40 and pump price has increased. If oil price rises further to say $80, pump price would surely rise again, except we want govt to resume paying subsidy.

The title of this report is actually misleading; government didn't increase oil price, rather pump price has just increased in line with global oil prices.

Don't mind them! If you want to know how uneducated those who claimed to be educated are, just visit Nairaland!

Infact, I have been expecting this since the crude price is picking up but the wailers will never stop short of disgracing their school and certificate!

Updated: FG increases fuel pump price to N143.80 per litre
The federal government Wednesday announced a new pump price of N143.80 per litre for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly known as petrol.
The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) in a circular to all marketers on Wednesday, July 1 in Abuja stated that the price increase comes after it considered the market practicality of its former price.
