This will happen in Edo in September, Obaseki will definitely win but he will be given the Kano and Rivers treatment...inconclusive elections then rig on rerun elections. PDP should educate voters and put its house in order.

It depends on the Edo people. They have no integrity. Look at what happened at Osun before the election, everybody thought APC would win with over 50% margin. PDP did not give support to the candidate only Dr Deji Adeleke , his son and few friends gave support while some APC governors and Asiwaju's team were on ground. It was after the election and needs to have rerun announced that PDP sent few high delegates to Adeleke for moral support, but it was late because it had become war and no more election. The Osun people cannot be manipulated. In Edo North, a family can disown their son and the star of the family if induced with money without thinking about tomorrow. The Osun people refused to be intimidated with Tinubu and APC money. When money failed, they use force (military and police). Edo only truancy.no integrity.

I sympathise with Oshiomhole and Nze Iyamu.

Former spokesman to Ex President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Reno Omokiri has reacted to the appointment of Kano State Governor, Alhaji Umaro Ganduje as the head of the National Campaign Council for APC In the September Governorship election in Edo State.

According to the statement he made on his verified Twitter handle, the Social Media Influencer said:

Governor Ganduje is to lead the 49 member National Campaign Council for APC in September Governorship election in Edo State.

The APC which is gradually recovering from the crisis that hit it last week and has formed a strong campaign committee to ensure that Ize-Iyamu is elected as the Governor of Edo State in September.

Other top APC members in that committee are Senate Chief Whip Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Former Secretary to the Federal Government, Babachair Lawal, former National Chairmen of APC, John Oyegun and Adams Oshiomhmole.

Also, Governors Babajide Sanwolu and Yahaya Bello made the list. Mr. Omokiri's statement on Ganduje's appointment is one many Nigerians still remember. Ganduje was alleged to have collected bribe from contractors according to the video that surfaced online before 2019 election. He won his re-election as the Governor of Kano State with a slight margin.

He is a BIG daddy in the APC camp. Last re-election in his state says it all - from inconclusive to overtaken to victory and he retain his seat and power! He also used his veto power to dethrone the former Emir of Kano for reasons best known to him and his cronies.
