I have always told anyone who cares to listen that Nigeria can never make progress as a country because tribalism is the most important factor in decision making for most Nigerians.

I believe that most people on nairaland are within the 20 - 45 year age range, and you can see clearly that a major percentage of nairalanders are more tribalistic than progressive. Meaning that for the next 50 years at least, tribalism will remain a major decision making tool in nigeria.

The implication is that we will never have leaders based on merit, but on tribal sentiments. By the time we have a population of 500 million people with a devastated economy, we will be eating ourselves like in the days of famine in Israel.

Anyone who desires a better tomorrow for his tribesmen in this country should join in the agitation for the total balkanization of this country. It is the only way out.

Noting else, as in Noting else can work here.

You can imagine how shameless and intellectually deficient the man who put up this thread is (i don't mean this as an insult because it is the effect of tribalism). This is probably a man that has gone to a higher institution and is supposedly educated, maybe even well traveled beyond the shores of nigeria, yet his only response to Reno's statement is to look for an igbo man to drag. That's to tell you that education will not change the deep tribal dispositions we have in Nigeria. Now If education cannot change it, what will?

Let us look for a peaceful way to divide this country for the good our unborn children. We will do much better as separate nations and relate better as neighboring countries.

In normal climes he will be probed to ensure state funds were not used. No one is claiming he was broke before office, he was Chairman of Fidelity Bank and sat on the board of other companies.

The fact he used state fund to the tune of $30 million dollars in his private company is cause for concern. That is why the source of capital for the two malls in Abuja and Port-Harcourt needs to be probed.

I care about the money because $600 billion has been looted since 1960 and turned the country to the poverty capital of the world. Corruption is legal and Nigerian and there is no punishment.

Peter Obi built the largest mall in Abuja and Port-Harcourt and that needs to be probed. There is so much abject poverty in Anambra and all over the country and that shouldn't be the case for the world 7th largest oil producer.

The difference is that Invictus obi invested crime proceeds for himself, while Peter invested anambara state allocation for anambra people, and this investment has grown into billions of naira and sparilng anambra people from being overtaxed like those in Lagos.

They requested tax return and the amount he declared does not account for the multi-billion naira malls. The highest tax rate in Nigeria is 25% if you are building multi-billionaire naira malls you should be paying a couple of billions in taxes. He only declared about 55 million in taxes.

EFCC needs to probe the source capital of the malls in Abuja and Port-Harcourt.
