Health seeking behavior is very poor in Nigeria, people prefer to visit quacks and traditionalists, when there is a hospital close to them. You may say it's because they lack trust for the health care system but few moments before their loved ones die they always rush them to the hospital, if they can believe in the moment of great need that the hospital can save the sick then why do they not visit the hospital earlier before the disease gets to the end stage?

Nigerians hate going to the hospital but confirmed cases are riding. Is NCDC carrying out tests in people's homes? That's by the way...

No money to pay for bills.

My hatred started frm boarding house. (the quacks)
I get malaria dem gimme panadol
I get headache, dem gimme chloroquine.

Mumsy begin gimme bitterleaf water drink. It was working and booooom. I freed mysef frm 6years excess chloroquine in my system.

I still visit hospital though for some cases that has to do dentistry, skin reactions, to collect legit condoms for free UN standard grin, and blood group and genotype check, and other things other than malaria.

Hospital is good but when bad eggs among them spoil show, it will take time to regain trust.

Pls fellas visit a hospital for anything medical.
Thank you

health care in Nigeria is very cheap in the public hospitals. The reason why it becomes expensive is because of late presentation. Because they've been wasting time with the quacks, most Nigerians take their loved ones to the hospital when they are half dead. The money for treatment finally surface in time of need. Even here on NL I see adults coming to ask about basic health conditions like asthma, skin infections etc, these will not cost much to treat.
