I don’t agree with you. The new director has a different signature and it is legal to indicate the issuance date. A good example is the issuance of transcript. The date you ask for it is stated even if you attended school 20 years ago

You want a corrected version bearing a new signature to still retain the issuing date of 1980? How do you want to rationalise that the guy who signed it was not in the office in 1980 but issued a document in 1980? That will be a fraud on it's own. Or you want NYSC to just correct the name and retain the old signature? A bigger fraud.

It is simple and I think justified, a new director signed this document, the new director is in the office in 2020 and the document is reissued in 2020. What NYSC will only do which I suppose they must have done is to properly document somewhere in their system that certificate with no ... is only a reissue and a correction to that issued earlier with no ...

The question is, can a certificate be re-issue and if yes, what's the modalities? Should it carry present date?

Ok let's say u haven't collected your certificate at all for over 5 years and you went back to school, which date will the school write on your issuing certificate.

check the signatories on the new certificate and compared with the old one. How can the present NYSC DG appened his signature with 6th august 1980 in which he was even in the army.

So the Judge actually wants a certificate that was issued by a director-General in 1980 to carry the same Date issued and corrected by a different Director-General of 2020 with a different signature, This man bttr jst keep quiet because na nonsense im dey talk.
