We Have Hired!

We are glad to inform our esteemed parents, that we have concluded the process of hiring academic instructors (teachers) for your children. Over 60 passionate instructors (teachers) have received their employment letters and can’t wait to commence work. It will interest you to know that 98% of the instructors (teachers), who worked with the former school, have been retained for the purpose of continuity.

At C2HIS, we also know that the key to a successful operation means not only focusing on the parents' needs but ensuring that our instructors (teachers) are well taken care of. Here are a few of the numerous policies we have identified to help keep our instructors (teachers) happy and productive!

1. Prompt Payment of Salary:

The Holy book says that a labourer is worthy of his wages. This will be the hallmark of our administration. No instructor (teacher) will give you his/her best in an atmosphere of perpetual uncertainty of wages. The instructors (teachers) are now happy as the page containing the topic of arrears of salaries, in their dictionaries, have been contextually mutilated by the emergence of Cradle 2 Harvard.

2. Instructor (Teacher) of the month:

Motivation brings out the best in every resourceful individual. At C2HIS, outstanding instructors (teachers) will be honoured on monthly basis and their pictures displayed at every public points within the school premises. The internet will be flooded with their achievements, the CNN and other online news agencies, nothwithstanding, will be paid to air their success stories.

3. Recognition:

It’s great to also point out the good things our instructors do. We will acknowledge them individually and verbally show to them that we are aware of where they started and where they can possibly go to next.

4. Team work:

At C2HIS, we have recognized the importance of sticking together to achieve a purpose as a team. We have drawn up programmes that will motivate our instructors (teachers) to reach out to you children in the most appropriate way. Together the we will succeed!

5. Trust:

We will delegate without micromanaging. We will give the instructors (teachers) more projects and in turn ask for their input on issues or ideas for the school. By this approach your children will be the gainers.

6. Offer of responsibility:

We have created a friendly competition amongst the office. This will get instructors (teachers) to step up to the plate and be productive while offering a chance for you to evaluate how they work.

7. Our instructors are part of the bigger picture:

We have instituted in policies to have great communication and trust, it’s great to talk about the school’s future and goals for the upcoming years. By this, we believe our instructors (teachers) will feel valued. C2HIS will also demonstrate to them that their hard work is going towards something great for the school.

8. Health Insurance:

As an employer, we understand the common aspect of learning to balance good work with a good life. We will teach our instructors (teachers) to embrace the importance of work, but also understand the importance of maintaining a healthy life to succeed at the workplace. The school has initiated a health scheme for all instructors (teachers).

9. We are receptive to instructors’ preference:

While our school shifts and we notice areas that may need more help, it’s a great time to ask our staff their advice. We will keep asking our instructors if they'd like to learn something new or improve their skills in a designated area. This will help motivate them to work harder and do the job well.

10. We will offer mutual evaluations:

It’s important to have both sides evaluated. By working as a team, we will communicate to one another our concerns and ask for feedback. By doing so, it helps to create a sense of ownership even among the instructors (teachers).

11. Consistency:

In order to let things run smoothly, C2HIS will ensure consistency in her operations. While it’s great to connect with team members on a personal and relatable level, it is just as important to be consistent in our progress and duties to the learners. The instructors (teachers) are aware of this enormous task ahead of them.

12. Interest in who our instructors are:

While we may be busy with instructing instructors (teachers) on what to do next, it’s important to get to know them. Understanding instructors as individuals is key to understanding what areas they excel in and how we can use those passions in our favour to help your children develop to the full capacities.

13. Provide tools for success:

Cradle to Harvard will provide every tool needed by these sets of brilliant instructors (teachers) to succeed. Every instructional material needed must be provided to the glory of God and to the benefit of our children.

14. We will respect staff time:

Our desire is to have our staff around the premises at all times, it’s important to have a consistent schedule whereby the staff will feel respected and valued. We implement scheduling tricks for the weekend shifts, for example, to show that we respect everyone’s time.

15. We will say “Thank You”:

Simply saying the words “Thank You” can go a long way. There is a sense of comfort and recognition that is felt when these words are heard. “Thank you” will be a part of our daily greetings.

Therefore, it is our pleasure to remind you that the timetable for our Sixth Grade, JSS 3 and SS 3 learners have been prepared and ready for use the moment school resumes in preparation for their terminal examinations. Our instructors (teachers) are set to do the needful in ensuring that your children come out in flying colours.

Once again, we use this medium to heartily congratulate all of us for the journey so far. Cradle 2 Harvard International Schools, Abuja has come to stay. Just give us your CHILD ; get back a GENIUS!
