They follow the same principle of Newton's third law of equal and opposite reactions.

You can't do space rocket without first knowing how to build guided missiles.

Your country is surrounded by the United States and France on every side.

There is nothing stopping France from lauching missiles from their ships in the gulf of Guinea straight to Abuja or Lagos without even physically entering Nigerian territory.

If you have guided missiles with significant range, France would think twice before doing anything.

This is something we should have done long ago.

For Nigeria to be at peace and truly secure, we need sufficient and powerful guided missiles with the range to meet any target in west and central Africa on land and sea.

We don't need to use it. The enemies just need to know we have it.

can we just focus on building Nigerian made refinery since the un-educated boys in the creek are building one daily in Niger-delta?

also, can we also build Nigerian made gas-powered turbines.. for power generation?

I believe these above will help us more as Nigerians, our economy and will bring more people out of poverty than Guilded Missiles, which will make countries like the US, EU, Russia to start hating us.

Are they planning to bomb the sun...?

Since they can't shoot at a straight line because people might be living at the end of the line , testing is done by shooting up and then the point at which it starts falling back is the distance it can cover. Projectile explains this

When you started writing your response, I thought you were highly intelligent and had something important and beautiful to write; but alas, you decided to stoop so low and show the type of person you are.

You claimed Awo gave a substandard free education and yet, your forefathers equally came from their different mud thatched enclaves to get that 'substandard free education'.

I don't understand why you can't make your contribution (s) sensibly without showing how uncouth and untrained you are.

Nigeria already has long range rockets. The Otomat systems on Nigerian warships are capable of 180km. even the Tucano prop planes we bought have AIM 9 missiles with 22 mile range. So what the OP is saying is that Nigeria is now seeking to produce indigenous missiles.

As for France attacking Nigeria, forget it. The French are too invested here. They can seek to undermine us politically in the region but they are not yet mad enough to attack us. Any of their satellites that attacks us will get a bloody nose because Nigeria has more force projection capability than any of our neighbours.

Nigeria is not where it should be, but only a fool wakes up a sleeping giant. Best let it sleep.
