The Windows are truly different. But on closer look, you will observe that the sliding window is shut and that the stems can be traced to a second window on the right; the one with louvers( not captured by the camera)

How is that wise! Yam can germinate without being in the soil. Potatoes � also can germinate without being in the soil. The tuber provides the needed nutrients to make it possible.
