Senator Nkechi Nwogu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has lambasted Governor Okezie Ikpeazu-led Peoples Democratic Party-government in Abia State for alleged poor performances.

Nwogu lamented that the government’s draconian policies rather than enhancing the economic development of the State had worsened the decay in the Abia state’s infrastructures.


The Senator spoke on Saturday during an interview, against the backdrop of her party’s resolve to form the next government in the state.

Nwogu, who is currently the Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University of Calabar and former APC Abia Central Senatorial seat candidate in the 2019 general election, suggested that stringent measures be taken to make lives meaningful for the people.
, “To Abians, they can see the rot and decay in the entire administration. My heart bleeds when I see my state as it is.


“And this is the time to change the narrative and usher in a good and people-oriented government that would provide a new lease on life for the people through the creation of jobs, provision of quality roads, sound educational system, health care facilities and other infrastructural development.

“Abia people have been subjected to hardship and hunger. No provision, No attraction of any tangible local or foreign direct investment in the state. The residents of the state hardly feed due to the obvious failure of the government to engender transformations”.

Firstly, as long as it is Pdp state oo, their governors always perform invisible gigantic projects.

Secondly, development of any part of Alaigbo is currently on pending... We have vowed to Chukwu Okike bambiala to see the development of other regions before ours.

And btw, can you people now see how wicked that man Tinubu is... He embezzled all the money meant for the Development of All SE states...

Party has little role to play in the rot..

We have weak, immature, inhumane leaders who lack capacity to handle Whatsapp group talk more of leadership positions at such levels......

We are still were we used to be because we don't have strong structures on how to develop people to leadership positions..

Until that is addressed,Na same story we go dey talk..

But what was her achievements when she was a senator under Pdp? All these politicians both in Apc and Pdp are rogues, they all have the same aim to further loot our common wealth. I only pity the gullible youths that support these thieves (9ja politicians) because of tribal or religious affiliations. Infact is gonna be very difficult for this country to make progress with these thieves in leadership positions.

They will never admit this never. Their only interest is what is going on in SW or Northern Nigeria. We have all seen pictures n read articles on the level of underdevelopment in the SE but their people are more focused on what is going on in other parts of the country. Neglecting their own region n enabling their governors to suck them dry. Yet buhari n tinubu are their main problem. Continue please,you are doing well. Ooni grin

If Nigeria is not basket of fools, why would this jackass who was in the team of PDP politician that started the decay of Abia State in 2003? As a senator, she became chairlady of Senate Committee on Banking. She jumped party to avoid probe by APC led government.

They are a set of confused people who I think that they don't know what they want. On the one hand, they will be shouting the Biafra Republic, on the other hand, they want to become the president of Nigeria....they don't really know what they want.....
