The Ohanaeze Ndigbo led by Chief Nnia Nwodo and the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indegineous People of Biafra have reconciled.

A first republic aviation minister, Chief Mbazuluike Amechi brokered the peace between the two groups on Tuesday at his Ukpor country home in the Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The two groups pledged to work together in the overall interest of the Igbo.

Addressing journalists after the truce, the nonagenerian ex-aviation minister described the altercation between the two groups as unecessary.

He said both bodies were fighting for the common interest of Ndigbo

He expressed joy over IPOB's withdrawal of stoning threat on Nwodo.

He said IPOB had in the meeting agreed to work harmoniously with Ohaneze Ndigbo for the interest of the South-East.

He said IPOB in the meeting demanded for its de-proscription, which the nonagenarian had urged the governors and lawmakers in the region to facilitate.

Amaechi said, "I summoned the two bodies of Ohaneze Ndigbo and IPOB to express my displeasure with what I have been reading in the newspapers about them, especially the stoning threat by Kanu on Nwodo

"I'm happy that even before this peace meeting, Kanu had retracted the threat. We therefore appeal to Nwodo to accept the retraction and get it off his mind as IPOB has agreed to work with him.

"The two bodies realizing that it is the same battle they are fighting; marginalization, killings and denials by the Federal Government to develop South East and Igbo land in general . They have agreed to work together for the welfare of Ndigbo."

The representive of the IPOB, Aloy Ejimakor, a lawyer, said he was at the meeting with the blessings and instructions of his clients( IPOB), just as he thanked Amaechi who he said was not a stranger to the Igbo struggle having once been declared a terrorist, himself.

He confirmed the retraction of IPOB's threats on the Ohanaeze president, describing it as one spoken at the heat of passion.

He said, " Nobody is leaving this place with acrimony. There's peace in Igbo land. Anybody coming in to take advantage of some leadership crises in Igbo land is actually making a mistake.

"The Igbos are united and love themselves, otherwise, they couldn't have sustained themselves for the the the years the civil war lasted. Whoever saying anything contrary is sowing a seed of discord.

Speaking on behalf of Ohaneze Ndigbo, the Anambra State President of the body, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, said his group had endorsed all that were contained in the resolution.

He said, "Those who thought our fences are fallen will know that the fences are much stronger than they had thought."

If there are no enemies Ibo will just perish from earth.

Everything in Ibo consciousness is appraised from a position of enemy and conflict.

Do you ever have friends? grin

Why will two business men be fighting in the first place. The donors are not tired just tell them Donald Trump will come and give them Biafra, you will cash out big time.

Good one.

They are fighting same thing albeit in different way.

As someone who had fought for Biafra before, I know what this means.

Their supposed reconciliation doesn't surprise any discerning political watcher. Both of them are PDP members and both are in the payroll of Atiku. They began fighting each other over sharing of Atiku dollars for the 2019 election. That's why Kanu maintained his election boycott stance until the last minute when Atiku paid extra.

So in your mind now I'm Yoruba abi? So you think anyone that doesn't support the fraudster called Nnamdi kanu is from the West? I pity people like you. If referendum comes today, you will be surprised how many igbos will vote against. If not for PMB's nepotism and maladministration, no reasonable Igbo person will be taking Nnamdi kanu serious. But that being said, he is still a clown and fraudster. I believe in Biafra, but not the one being championed by Nnamdi kanu.
If given biafra under Nnamdi kanu, he will be worst than Adolf Hitler. The guy has Nazist tendencies. He can't be trusted with power. Thanks

You might not be yoruba, but you are certainly not an igboman
There is no igbo man who have not been affected negatively by tribalism in Nigeria, there is no igbo man who doesn't desire Biafra, or at worst restructuring..
Common sense should tell you that there is no igbo man who will vote against his own total freedom.
