Omo record label plays a very huge part oo.
Just imagine this DM between Davido and mayorkun didn't take place in 2016. Nobody for Sabi mayorkun today. He will probably be signed to one unknown record label and be getting little or no streams despite being a very talented singer unless a major breakthrough happens.

That is true to a large extent but there is one thing, if you are meant to blow it will somehow happen. Victor AD in 2018, T Classic broke out last year from an unknown Label to many, I even still struggle to remember the name of the label. This year we had Oxlade and Omah Lay. Notice I didn't mention Joeboy because he was discovered by Mr Eazi and his label Empawa in 2017. And I can say Mr Eazi's label still growing is still more recognisable than the other artists labels I mentioned up there.
