Going through several topics here, I came to realize that there are several potential great programmers who are really interested in
building things and developing themselves
Before I continue I would like to introduce myself.
I am Joshua by name but mostly called Orisfina, I am a self taught front end developer.
I have always had love for programming back from the days of my childhood, this was what actually motivated me to study computer science as a course in higher Institution. All through my time in school I nevered clicked with what was been taught as majority were either outdated or the course lecturer wasn't good enough.
To cut the long story short, after my graduation I had to go into full time learning on my web development career. So i bought so many courses on Udemy, did researches with wonderful sites like w3school, freecodecamp and more.

The essence of me creating this thread is to create a platform to solve the issue of landing a job for junior developers with no experience on real life projects. We all know the secret to been good in programming is by practicing, practicing, practicing.
And to land a Job as a Web developer you need a portfolio with projects. The problem now is how do you have portfolio of works done without been given an opportunity to work.
I actually came up with an idea which is by networking with other programming in creating open source projects thereby gaining experience from others.
Networking is just the key as a programmer.

I will be creating a group on any platform decided by those who are interested where we all can come together (Front end, back end, UI/UX) and work on a project together. This will help us gain experience alot and have something to render. I believe by the end of the project we will have acquired a whole lot of knowledge..
Don't be shy of your progress no matter what. You will still have one or two to contribute and also learn.
SENIOR DEVELOPERS are also welcome, your guidance will be so much appreciated.
We all can make Nigeria great in the I.T again, the world is in our hands, we can either make it or break it.
