AWAY from its seeming confrontational posture, the University of Jos, UniJos Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has added value to education as the union donated a 1,000 capacity twin lecture theatre to the university as part of its efforts at addressing infrastructural problems in the institution.

But the University of Lagos Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, has failed the whole nation as the union behaves like touts by pocknosing into the affairs of the Unilag Council and Management. The Union Chairman, Dr. Ashiru had hired some thugs from other Universities to the Campus on Wednesday, 15th July 2020 when he could not get the support of members for the Congress. They drove round the Campus making unpleasant noise against the Pro-Chancellor. It was obvious that the Branch Chairman is the only one acting under the umbrella of ASUU as none of his branch members supported him.
