What Month Can I Harvest My Yam? by Unclekayfarms: 3:32pm On Jul 22, 2020 |
I planted 80 heaps of yams 5th of April of this year. My Nairalander yam experts, at what month will it be ready for harvest? Can I still make yam seeds for planting against next year out of it. How many seeds can I get from 80heaps next year (don't mind if I replant all) Your advice is needed and suggestions are needed and will be of great value |

I was told that by September, it should be ready. Just keep checking, anytime the lower leaves start to change colour i.e, drying, then you are good to go. The nine months answer is not totally right, unless it was planted in November and by that time, it wasn't even growing; growing starts when rain starts falling. 1 Like |

gentlesinna: Please start checking your yams around August and September so you don't go and meet rotten yams |
