The Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, has issued a strong warning to the district heads and Imams that Eid prayers should be conducted in Juma’at mosques instead of prayer grounds.

The spiritual head of Muslims in the country issued this warning while declaring July 31 as the date for Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Your submission is off point to the main subject. It's Sunnah to observe the Eid's prayer at the open grounds or fields. There are religious consensus from the scholars that it is religious innovation to observe Eid's prayers in the mosque. But due to the situational variables, things could be shifted to suit to present reality and not like the way you have misinterpreted it. I believe you would agree with me that people would prefer it than observing it at their various homes like we did during Eidul'Fitri. The message is for proper coordination and to prevent the large gathering of Muslims that might be in mammoth numbers at the Eid's ground. it does not in any way better than the traditional method of observing it at open grounds but the present reality calls for it. May Allah accept our acts of worship.
