The fraud case against Olalekan Ponle, also known as Woodberry, a close associate of Ramon Abbas (Hushpuppi), has been dismissed. The 29-year-old, who was facing charges bordering on wire fraud conspiracy at a United States District Court in Illinois, was arrested alongside Hushpuppi in the United Arab Emirates on June 10. They were arrested for multiple fraud charges after a raid by operatives of the Dubai crime unit. The duo were extradited to the U.S. on July 2. However, US prosecutors stated that Mr Ponle tricked an unnamed Chicago company into sending wire transfers totalling $15.2 million.
