Dr Ramon Adedoyin has paid tribute to the late OONI Okunade Sijuwade on the 5th year anniversary of his passing away.

Dr Ramon Adedoyin in a statement issued by his media office in Osun on Tuesday, july29, joined other Nigerians in remembering the life of a man, whose legacies continue to have great impact on them.

He noted that he (Adedoyin), and indeed, all Nigerians will not forget the undisputable achievements of Ooni’s short-lived resign .

“As each year passes by, we are constantly reminded of his outstanding leadership skills and decision making acumen”, Adedoyin said.

According to him, Ooni sijuwade was a man that was never shy of reaching out to people; irrespective of his tribe whenever it came down to finding solutions to addressing issues that bedevilled Nigeria as a nation. He added that Ooni put the country first before political, religious and ethnic considerations.

“His belief in the oneness of Nigeria contributed to the vigour and passion we saw him display in bringing to a halt, the hostilities mounted on the nation’s mainstay and her people. That singular act, remains a milestone that would forever be remembered in the annals of Nigeria’s political and economic life,” Maye of Yoruba kingdom stressed that among Ooni Sijuwade’s achievements, was adherence to the rule of law, and good leadership

“OOni ’s no nonsense stance on the issue of rule of law, in deed, gave the Yoruba kingdom and her inhabitants the feeling that everyone and everybody is equal in the eyes of the law. The rule of law is the lifeblood of any democratic system”, .
