When Will Nigeria/Africa Take Climate Change Seriously by Minsk24: 4:56pm On Jul 29, 2020 |
It is estimated that by 2050... over 500 million people would have left their homes, fleeing the effects of climate change , The island nation of Kiribati in the pacific is sinking Parts of Indonesia is sinking rapidly Parts of the permafrost in the artic regions of Russia are melting The sahel region of Africa is facing drought, Lake Chad is shrinking which is the lifeblood of over 40 million people Parts of Zimbabwe also facing severe drought The severity of floods is increasing... Parts of China and parts of the bay of Bengal have been devastated already As the planet heats up, we are seeing subtle and glaring evidence of what is to come if we don't take actions... Thankfully This subject is gradually gaining the widespread attention it deserves but shockingly, i have never heard the Nigerian government talk about this danger when it is obvious that drought is becoming an issue in the sahel... Should we wait before it is too late? Is it not time for us to start building our future towards non-fossil fuels? Climate Change Is Real.... Everyone Should Wake Up To The Fact That We Must Address This Problem Before It Consumes Us |
