Does obaseki really stand any chance?

As at today Gov obaseki seems to have completely ticked all the boxes of a politician about to lose an election.

The first sign was failing to curry the favours of the big weights in apc which led to his disgraceful disqualification. That is when we also learnt that this man didn't even have any back up plan. An astute politician should have seen the plot to disqualify him from a mile a way and taken steps to counter it or at least have a plan B. Gov obaseki had none. Rather he just sat and watched as the entire events unfolded.

It was only when the events started to u fold that my governor started running from pillar to post for help, wasting billions wherein even a sitting governor had to lament the enormous extortion gotten out of obaseki. Lol. It's also last minute that obaseki remembered buhari and dashed to Abuja for help. By then it was already too late. Not like buhari would have even intervened anyways. Bubu has a penchant to just sit and watch as these politicians fool themselves. Lol

So back to Gov Obaseki's Midas touch. Obaseki reminds me of king Midas that was given enormous powers to turn anything he touches into gold and in a spare of greed ended up ruining himself.
Greed and pride are the albatross of most politicians. For a man that was single handedly picked from obscurity to win an election in 2016, Gov obaseki showed a lot of disdain for his benefactors. It's only after he successfully won that he remembered that he needed to fight godfatherism. Please ask any edolite whether obaseki campaigned or even gave any speech in 2016. The only reason he won is because of oshiomole. But once he won, he became drunk with power pursuing and destroying anyone who dared oppose him. Obaseki curried the favour of his benefactor's enemies e.g people like oyegun were all too happy to supply the bullets that obaseki has now used to destroy himself.

Now back to the electoral process and ticking boxes. You see if u look at our political history most people that know they will lose and end up losing have some similar characteristics. First they dream up phantom enemies from Abuja. Then they accuse those they know might win of electoral fraud eventhough they have zero evidence to back it up. Most of their appointees immediately start jumping ship because u know, politicians can smell the blood loss from a mile away. Nobody wants to befriend a loser. Finally these loser politicians have a knack for relying on people who have little or no electoral prospect or value to add to their victory. The only person in Obaseki's campaign who might assist with votes is his deputy shuaibu. That's why obaseki insisted on keeping him close. That's also the only person he trusts. Cos u see those pdp people, they are only out to make money and they have already made billions and could care less whether obaseki wins or loses.

Time will tell whether obaseki will succeed in this futile journey. But so far all the odds are tilting against him
