Who are we to blame now!?

Or do we just tag it natural occurrences, and move on?
God please have mercy on the dead ones already and grant their soul eternal rest?

What a bad day for the families of the deceases.

Ever since Lagos celebrated and declared accident free waterways, it has been boat accidents here and there sad

Exactly. These deaths are preventable. They should pass a law that all passengers moving on the waterways (whether a motorized boat or primitive canoe) should put on a life-vest/ life jacket. And any water transport operator must provide these life jackets for their passengers.

That GM of LASWA should be removed immediately. He celebrated accident free waterways during lockdown. We reminded him of non activities on waterways during lockdown, ever since lockdown was eased, it has been accidents.

Wow heartbreaking... God grant them eternal rest

This is why I fear water.
I have 2 probs with it,
1. I can't swim
2. I don't know what lurks beneath it.
Even when you can swim ,that apapa and cms axis ,has a lot of wreckage beneath the waters, hundreds of very old colonial ages ship wreckages that cuts and maims at the slightest touch....may the dead rest in peace.

Lagos should be tired of this due to negligence. Sanwoolu is the most clueless leader I've seen. This is the second happening in one month after the recent ikorodu bound boat mishap and he keeps talking rubbished, shouting covid-19 here and there and busy eating billions of donated funds , saying he spends up to 1m naira daily on giving covid-19 patients aspirin, vitamim C and zink and that's what happens when a puppet is at the helms. I hope another one doesn't happen before next week because people travel alot during festive seasons. We are waiting for what he would say this time
