Proverbs 20:1. (Different bible versions).

KJV:Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
ESV:Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.
NIV:Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise.
AMP:Wine is a mocker, strong drink a riotous brawler; and whoever errs or reels because of it is not wise.

Note: This is written by arguably the most (permit me to say) "enjoyment king/man" in the bible --- King Solomon. Even in his proverbial sayings (to teach people wisdom and discipline) and in his vanity teachings, he still condemned it.

Who would have thought God could use King Solomon of all kings and men to write about and against strong drinks...?? Well, maybe that was why he was allowed to enjoy them so he could guide others who were going towards that direction.

As regards my response, please am not in for arguments so don't expect me responding to argumentative comments. Because in the end, everyone understands their bible differently. And the True Gospel remains an Open-secret. The word of God is forever settled (psalm 119:89), debating about it is just a waste of time and energy.
