Oga explain, you're here making blanket statements.

That's why some people don't follow the politics played on this soil, it's full of talkers and no doers..

The properties to be taken over by China in case of default are the same Railroad and wagons they financed.

Oga, let's stop deceiving ourselves giving a rat fish to keep.
Do you think that the entire money will go into the project?
If we default and the Chinese comes for their investment and couldn't recover it from the abandoned project. They can ultimately leave the asset since it is useless to them and instead go for our major economic facility.
You and I knows we find it difficult paying back loans so what happens when our national economic assets that we are using to survive is siezed? Or you think Chinese is your friend? A country that Muslims and Christians are heavily persecuted.

How can the entire contract agreement be shrouded in secrecy, when the national assembly was the one that approved the loan in the first place. Did the national assembly mean to tell us that they did not read the loan terms before approving the loan? What do they want to do now since the loan has been taken and the contract is running? Do they want to withdraw their approval for the loan?

Going by your use of grammar, do you think you are qualified to challenge the professor?

Oga 'grammatical' you forget to put question mark for the end of your first paragraph. Na broken I write ooo so no find fault for my write-up ooo!

Nigerians only want free stuff... Like China building the rail supplying the coaches training people all on loan and later when we default on paying them we beg like Obasanjo did for debt cancelation

We are always looking for shortcuts and fast routes, these joined with selfish interests will not take us out of the quagmire we currently find ourselves in.

The same thing is happening every part of our endeavors as a nation; talk of education, security, health, built environment etc.

We always want the fast routes instead of seating down and workout real solutions to our issues.

The professor has indeed spoken well, moreover, it's still a game of who-chop-clean-mouth and who-no-chop-complain. However, it's maddening to know that these politicians don't even mind if they sold the sovereignty of the nation as far as their over-filled pockets are still being stuffed ruthlessly.

Yes Dubai makes good stride on loan and they are paying back without arguments on terms of the loan

.
Do you also know where Dubai borrow is where they will pay back the loan. They do more of a shareholder or joint investment don't take loan every day.

Will the Nigerian railway able to generate the fund to pay back?

Your leaders need to wise up. The World has gone far.

That's the Nigerian culture. Nigerians would beg you for a loan, and then fight you when it's time to repay. Nigerians generally do not like redeeming loan obligations.

Well said... Very annoying and indecent set of people!!!

He has already elucidated perfectly.

Ordinarily, China could have no claim to Nigerian property, as all of such would be covered under the principle of sovereignty and territorial integrity.

However the exception to this rule is when a nation incurrs debts in the course of a commercial transaction, the effect is that the sovereignty of that nation is waived with respect to its liability. That does not mean China can take ownership of Nigeria, but it means that Chins can lay claim to some assets belonging to Nigeria.

The only issue I have with this is that the particular property to be claimed is not stated.

It could be our Port cheesy

Some pipo sha!
Nigerians are alarmed because of the penchant of this govt to jumping into agreements they have no intentions of honoring.
We’re already a laughing stock across d globe, we don’t want to become d next Zimbabwe that’s why the people are so alarmed.
What right thinking man uses his son as collateral and dismisses it with the excuse that d surety is not his first son?
Just imagine how far he had to go to get precedence, 1977. The next loan precedence will be from precolonial times!!

Most Nigerians are boldly ignorant and very loud.

You dare not correct them. They will abuse you.

They will direct there frustration into anyone willing to educate them.

A simple research will have told them China can now take Nigeria as a nation to court and take over the trains they borrowed us money for if we failed to pay back since we've waived our sovereignty as a nation.

This is just what any banks or money lender will do if you borrow money and can't pay up.

I think the yap is about the sovereignty clause which many have interpreted to mean abatement

Nigerians are their own worst enemy. Imagine the explanation this man gave similar to the one Falana SAN gave, which was to shed light on the

controversy but instead their reaction was to continue with the misinformation they had and heap abuses on these men. Nigeria is in trouble with

this kind of followership. Serious trouble. Did the man communicate in French?

The Professor said ...

Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Sagay said there is nothing unusual in the loan as Nigeria had experienced it before in the 70s.

Then the professor first needs to explain whether the loans are bilateral, multilateral or collateralised debt obligations, before he makes the statement above. A collateralised debt obligations will provide Chinese with the option to size valuable assets in Nigeria.

Nigeria is falling into China’s debt trap
Nigeria lacks accountability, transparency, and responsibility to refund its loans, according to Dr Bongo Adi, the Director of Centre for Infrastructure Policy Regulation and Advancement (CIPRA) at the Lagos Business School.

So it's wrong to ask questions when the entire contract agreement was shrouded in secrecy? This man with velvet mouth will never cease to surprise me with his comments.
Was it a question the reps asked or they alleged? Talking about secrecy, how many contract agreements do you know that is in the public domain?
You guys should stop this foolishness.

If u think it's ignorance let us use your own life, and lives of others involved in collecting the loans as a collateral, so if the loan is looted or unaccounted for, they can be used as scape goat
