A CCTV footage has captured the moment a man tried to protect his son during the explosion that happened in Beirut, the capital city of Lebanon on Tuesday evening.

As seen in the CCTV footage, the man who seem scared quickly carried his son under a table along with himself on hearing the explosion that vibrated his home.

This is coming after a powerful explosion hit the Lebanese capital, Beirut which claimed at least 30 lives and thousands injured in the city.

Report has it that the explosion affected nearby buildings causing severe damages in different part of the city.

The cause of the explosion is still yet to be ascertained as at this time.
