APC, PDP Pledge Loyalty To Oginni Led IPAC Executive by Nobody: 9:17pm On Aug 05, 2020
The All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun state have expressed readiness to support the Olaposi Oginni led executive of the Inter Party Advisory Council in the state.



The two strong parties pledged their loyalty for Oginni while speaking with newsmen shortly after inaugural meeting of IPAC meeting held at Adatan in Abeokuta.



They stressed that Oginni is the authentic IPAC chairman recognised and accepted by them.



The youth leader of APC, Clement Adeniyi explained that he was directed by the chairman of APC, Yemi Sanusi to represent the interest of the party at the IPAC.



Adeniyi noted that Oginni is the authentic chairman recognised by the APC in the state.



He said, "the party is very careful, but we have gotten a leader in the name of comrade Oginni as the IPAC chairman. We have to supoort IPAC led by Oginni because we see that IPAC is mean to support the government in power and our party is concerned about the people getting the dividends of democracy.



"APC in Ogun state are for this IPAC led by Olaposi Oginni. I have the mandate of the APC chairman, Yemi Sanusi and the state Secretary, Ibori to represent the party at IPAC. "



Also Deji Ashaye, a member of PDP who claimed to be representing the interest of the two factions of the party in the state insisted that any other executive of IPAC apart from Oginni led executive is illegal.



He added, "this IPAC is the recognized body because the former IPAC body has been dissolved. Because there cannot be vaccum is why they fill in the caretaker committee.



"The caretaker committee is to work. There is no other IPAC recognised by PDP."



Earlier in his remarks, Oginni promised to run an open door policy with the other executive of the IPAC caretaker committee.



The IPAC chairman said, "I am not just the only chairman of IPAC, all of us are the chairmen, wherever we are, let us represent the council well.



"Today is my happiest day in my political journey because for me to have reputable people with me to pilot the council of political party in Ogun state.



"We must not be discouraged by any cornerstone, let us just be focus, the concerned is to have the welfare of the people of Ogun state.



"IPAC is not a body to antagonise government, it is a council that is meant to play the role of giving qualitative, constructive and advice to the government. We are out to guide and pilot any government in power to ensure dividends of democracy to our people."



Also present at the meeting is the representatives of Allied Peoples Movement, Accord, BOOT, African Democratic Party, Social Democratic Party and NRM.
