cool OMG... this is lovely..
I just pray we wouldn't be hearing the system was hacked and results manipulated....
our usual culture of alleges rigging..
There's nothing lovely here, this is just a viewing Portal meaning everything will still be done manually while they upload the results for us to view here meaning they can still rig the election and upload rigged results for us to view.

Is it not what they send to the portal that will be displayed, I am sure the rigging spirit in Naija politicians is not moved. Until we have e-voting or PMB signed the new electoral bill its business as usual.

There should be options for each party agent to upload a copy of the signed result per unit.. with that manipulating results afterwards won’t be possible.

Why does anyone need to log in and out?
Why do they need confidential details of anyone?

Why not just update results real-time on the online dashboard.

I wonder ooooo seriously, am still thinking how that's a must...

They will appear transparent b4 election and during d election, they will show their incompetence.

The money FG will waste on this election now ought to be distributed to Edo people as pallative of Obaseki 4years of uneventful leadership.

If, and only if the so-called portal should reveal all the details of the results including the Number of Registered Voters of Collated during the elections, the Number of Accredited Voters, Cancelled Votes and Polling-units, Number of Voided Votes, and all the other Election-related information down to the Ward-levels and polling-unit-levels, and that the portal won't be removed or pulled down after the final results are announced, then this new innovation should be the best thing INEC had ever done since it came into existence..

All these are charade because INEC needs to get the NASS to legislate on e-voting.

It isn't about e-voting though just for viewing of results
Re: INEC Introduces Election Result Viewing Portal by TruthinAction: 6:45am On Aug 07, 2020
We want real time uninterrupted results. It should not be like the last presidential election results that was halted for almost 24 hrs giving room for manipulations.

SmartPolician:
Nigerian government should engage IBM so that they can back up the election results in the blockchain.

Politicans are terrible people, and they can engage good hackers to series of coordinated cyberattacks the server

We still have time

Blockchain technology is the answer
Using the blockchain will eliminate hacks when e-voting is implemented, but our government will never approve of this because they need to rig to stay in power
Re: INEC Introduces Election Result Viewing Portal by yusufmurry: 8:31am On Aug 07, 2020

I hope it runs on some kind of blockchain, because if it's a centralized server of any kind, forget it. We know how e dey be.

If you understand blockchain technology, you know it's the way forward.
