PART 10. HOW DO WE LOOSE THE POWER GIVEN TO US AT BIRTH?



The scripture in Matthew 28:18 reveals: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in Heaven and in earth. Praise God that all power in Heaven and in earth was handed over to Christ. We have a choice either to utilize this power and authority to overcome the powers of the enemies and become sons of God or we loose it to the devil and his cohorts.
The scripture in Luke 10: 19 states: Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you. The power the Lord has given to us is both, an offensive and defensive power. Offensive because we have the offensive weapon; the word of God being the sword of the Spirit to tread boldly upon serpents and scorpions (the principalities, powers, spiritual wickedness in high places, demons, rulers of darkness of this world). The defensive weapons (the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, our loins girt with truth, feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith) we have, are so strong and powerful that NOTHING shall by ANYMEANS hurt us. God has well fortified us in a way that those entrances through which the devil passes to get at us have been sealed. All we needed to do is to believe and receive it.
HOW DO WE LOOSE OUR POWERS TO THE DEVIL?
In Genesis 3:14,19. We saw that after Adam and Eve sinned by eating the forbidden fruit; God arraigned them to be punished along side with the serpent that beguiled them.
Firstly, God dealt with the devil: And the Lord said unto the serpent. Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle and above every beast of the field {TAKE NOTE}, and upon thy belly shall thou go and dust shall thou eat all the days of thy life.
In Gen.3:19 the Lord went on to Judge Adam. Among other curses on him the Lord said: In the sweat of thy face shall thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it was thou taken:[TAKE NOTE] for dust thou art and unto dust shalt thou return.
Man is formed out of the dust of the ground and the Lord defined man as dust. But the Lord commanded the serpent/devil that he will crawl on dust and eat dust all the days of his life. It means then that as long as we remain dust, the devil will have dominion and authority over us. Since his source of energy is through eating dust all the days of his life, the plan of God therefore is to transform us from the dust state to a golden state which is the nature of God so that we would not be food for the devil.
A believer who has been empowered by Christ at birth looses his power to the devil when he falls into sin, walks earthly and carnally. When the children of God gather, the devil often tries to penetrate into their midst looking out for those he could possibly snatch their powers to obtain energy to steal, kill and devour.
The Born again churches are very prone to the frequent attacks of the devil because whereas members therein claim to have received power from God at birth to become sons of God; they meddle with sin and walk in the carnal activities of their churches. The devil and his cohorts take permanent resident there and ensures that nobody grows into spirituality but makes them see darkness in their midst as light. The scripture states that we become servant to whom we submit to. Therefore Born again Christians should guard the power they had received at birth, walk in Holiness and righteousness in order to make it with God. The scripture in Romans 6:16 states: know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey his servants ye are to whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death, or obedience unto righteousness?
