Oil magnate, late Chief (Dr) Sir Anthony Obiagboso Enukeme, the CEO of Tonimas Oil and Gas, who passed on, in June 2020, was reportedly buried in a casket worth N34 Million.

The billionaire was laid to rest in his home town in Neni, Anambra State, in grand style.

This comes days after a Requiem Mass, attended by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, was held in his honour at Christ the King Cathedral (CKC), Aba, Abia State.

Chief Enukeme’s burial attracted a large crowd in spite of the lingering Covid-19 pandemic.

Photos from the funeral of the Onowu Neni show that he was buried in an elaborate glass casket that cost millions of Naira. Unverified reports claim it cost 34 million Naira.

His funeral Mass held on Friday, August 14, at St John’s Parish in Neni, Anaocha LGA, Anambra. The Thanksgiving Mass will hold on Sunday, August 16 in the same church.

Before his death, Dr Anthony was one of the richest men in Anambra State, he was also a member of the Board of Trustee of the All Progressive Grand Alliance and president, Anambra State Council of Traditional Rulers. He was a great philanthropist who was also known for his many charities in the country.

Of all the foolishness displayed in human existence, waste of resources on expensive caskets takes the crown.

I don't know if anyone has had discussion with God and was duly informed that the quality of casket plays any role in how the corpse will rest.

Or did anyone see it either in the Bible or Quran that caskets can provide any relief to a buried corpse?

34m can get a decent well furnished apartment in some cities in Nigeria for God's sake. angry

What I know is that carcasses get devoured in few months after burial. Infact, 2 years from burial, the grave can only be identified but everything go don become sand sand. undecided

You Can Bury your Dead any way u wish to but let's not Deceive or lie to ourselves! It Has no effect on the Dead!

What Matters is if His Name is in the Book of Life..
What Matters is if He Died Having been saved through Jesus Christ..

Any other thing is Vanity of Life and Very Irrelevant to the Dead

No matter how one may look at it, it's a waste of resources. Inside that grave, no more social class.

Ok o!

Casket doesn’t carry one to paradise.

I trust my bro over there, they will one day exhume the casket, bury back the corpse and go away with the casket to sell

I remember when I was in the university. we went to bury an Igbo girl of 22 in her village; she wqs involved in a ghastly motor accident.

It was appaling to see people getting drunk after the burial as if they were celebrating.

That culture is not excusable. It is a rotten culture.

You should morn the passing away of someone so young and not be celebrating.
