United Arab Emirate's Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has ordered the shipment of what is described as “urgent humanitarian aid” to Nigeria.

This was made known in a series of tweets on the official Twitter handle of The Government of Dubai Media Office, @DXBMediaOffice, is to assist Nigeria in fighting the COVID-19 global pandemic.

The Tweets also indicate that the relief shipment contained 14 tonnes of medical supplies and 20 tonnes of food supplies.

They were dispatched on Saturday from the International Humanitarian City in Dubai, the tweets added.

The ruler also sent relief to Sudan.
