Pls what programing language makes one a qualified programmer and then when one learns on his/her own without certificate... Can he/she work with a software company?

Any language you are good at can make you a programmer as long as you can deliver any Job given to you but to be a qualified programmer, you have to be certified by a recognize institution or body, company usually employ programmer base on their own recognized programming language except you have a published idea and they need it then they will adopt to yours.

Any programming language can make you a qualified programmer. Be it python, Java, C#, etc. They are just tools in a programmers tools box. Each has it strengths and weakness. Take for instance a mechanic has a screwdriver, hammer, spanner etc, in his tools box and each of these tools has specific functions. The hammer might be used to perform certain tasks that the screwdriver or spanner can't perform properly. And it is vice versa. There is nothing like one size fits all in programming.
As for certification in programming. Your certificates are almost worthless. Employers want to see what you have done or, what you can do with your programming skills. Don't focus too much on certification. Rather focus more on gaining practical skills.l

Html is not a programming language. Html is for structuring a web contents and linking pages. Html is like a blueprint telling a browser , how to render a web page. CSS is for styling a webpage. While Ajax is for updating portions of a webpage without reloading the whole page. (Site like nairaland frontpage updates itself without hitting the refresh button) ajax is like an offspring of JavaScript. These 3 are not programming language per say(Html, CSS, Ajax) Though if you want to go into web development. U must learn them. But they are not programming languages.
