Jonathan, Atiku Behind Attacks Against Osinbajo – PDP Chieftain by tracychelsea13: 6:50pm On Aug 17, 2020
Former President Goodluck Jonathan has been accused of sponsoring attacks against Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Bayelsa State has said.

The party chieftain said Jonathan is still very angry at Osinbajo for repeatedly exposing his administration and linking him to corruption.

The Nembe chieftain who craved anonymity told this newspaper that Jonathan and Osinbajo have not been on talking terms since the revelation of corruption allegations by Osinbajo.

“The truth is that the former President is not happy with the Vice President for exposing the corruption in his administration. Jonathan had to reach out to close ally of Osinbajo before he stopped the attacks.

“This is just the beginning for Osinbajo, there are more attacks coming and if you like more lies. This is payback time for the Vice President. For two years, he linked Jonathan to corruption, now he too will be linked to corruption.

The chieftain says Osinbajo will now see how the former President felt each time his name is mentioned. “Politics is dirty and you have to deploy whatever tactics available. What most of you know as Dubai Strategy is very much alive and even more is coming.

He explained former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar is also targeting Osinbajo. “They are attacking him for different reasons. Jonathan’s reason is different from Atiku’s,” he said.

Adding that, “Atiku is going to contest again in 2023 and he has identified the present Vice President as his biggest threat, even though we know the Vice President is not politically strong, he explained.

“What worries them is that the man has still not spoken to the issues. We know he is using legal means to fight back but the truth is that people are starting to see him as corrupt,” the Nembe chieftain explained.

He said the 2023 election will be the toughest in recent times. “There are too many interests in the 2023 elections. My party sees it as an opportunity to retake power but the APC sees it as an opportunity to consolidate.

“One thing I can tell you is that the PDP are favourites in 2023, we have the backing of the people and we are confident of returning to Aso Rock,” he boasted.

The corruption in Jonathan's tenure plunged our nation into recession. He was ignorant of his administration and rumour has it that his wife was giving the order. So yea, corruption was at it highest peak during Jonathan's time which is what this adminstration is trying to cleanse for the past five years now. If Osinbajo didn't have made us aware, alot of bad things that happened during the previous admin would be painted on this administration.

Atiku on the other hand should keep using his E-rats to put out falsehood against Osinbajo, he is clean and also an incorruptible man who is never distracted from delivering good governance to the Nigerian People. Atiku knows Osinbajo is the best candidate and the president come 2023.
