Premier League champions Liverpool will begin the defence of their title with the visit of newly-promoted Leeds United to Anfield when the season kicks off on September 12.

Marcelo Bielsa's men face an instant test of their top-flight credentials in an eye-catching contest on opening day.

Manchester United and Manchester City have been drawn to face Burnley away and Aston Villa at home respectively but those games will be played at a later date to allow the Manchester clubs extra time to recover from their European seasons.

Other Premier League newcomers Fulham are at home to Arsenal for a London derby of sorts, while West Brom host Leicester City.

The games to be played on Monday night - September 14 - are Brighton v Chelsea and Sheffield United v Wolves.
