It is hard to imagine that this is the same Nigeria that once had leaders who could think on their feet and who could call the bluff of any world power. In 1976, then Head of State, General Murtala Mohammed, eyeballed the United States of America, the ‘World’s Policeman’, over the liberation of Angola. President Gerald Ford quickly expressed America’s displeasure at the recognition of the MPLA as the legitimate voice of the people of Angola by Nigeria

How long will you continue to remain a stranger to your neighbors?

How many times have you donated to hungry kids in Ghana or Cameroon? See, it is Nigerian nature not to give a bleep about neighbors. The North has never given a bleep about Southern Christians and our Igbo brothers could care less if Fulani kids are starving.

You are wise.
STEALING IS NOW CORRUPTION in our nation.
It is now getting different from when a former sitting president told us to our faces that STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION.

Slow and steady, we will get there as a nation.

You still managed to unintelligently manipulate this 'call for national redress' to a praise song of unrepentant tyrant who would rather allow kinsmen kill maim and plunder the country for the sake of his satanic agenda.

It seems you have grilled your patriotism with those vultures you serve your unsuspecting voracious customers

Nigeria greatness is only in its past shadow due to lack of purposeful leadership, intractible corruption, ethno-religious supremacist agenda among many irreconcilable factors.

Since it's certain these recurrent problems will never go away despite about 60years of nationhood, the solution is to renegotiate our existence as a collective entity or dissolve this skewed union.

Complete truth!

He is 70% right.

Nigeria is a mess. The question is does it want to change. If Nigeria decides, it can be in the great league. I just can't bet on hardened duns tho. Sorry.

Nigerian people if they have sense should pressure the Nigeria government to stay out of Mali, forget relevance, which doesn’t feed Nigerians. The entire relevance Nigeria sort in the past only brought Nigeria Bokoharam and ridicule from the very Africans Nigeria strove to help and which has earned Nigeria only international anger where Nigeria hoped for gratitude. The world does not like smart, powerful black people. We need to forget black power especially as blacks themselves hate smart powerful black people even more than the rest of the world, so what is the point. Nigeria need to look After Nigerians, we are powerful in our own right and need no validation. Nigerians need development, industrialisation and an attitude of Nigerian exceptionalism. Forget Africa.

Nigeria is a great Nation. 1950 China was very poor but today a World power. Nigeria will be a great Nation in the next 50 years. The moment the current Elders move into their graves the sleeping giant will rise again.

Rather than being focused on the longer-term promotion of the happiness of the greatest number, they are, like their precursors in the age of slavery, overwhelmed by the ‘Esau Spirit’ of wanting something ephemeral at the expense of something long-lasting. Unlike their ancestors who received mirrors and gunpowder in exchange for selling off their compatriots to foreign slave dealers, current leaders appeared to be consumed by lust for power and the pursuit of creature comfort as manifested by the possession of private jets, flashy cars, a harem of nubile girls and other indicators of conspicuous consumption.

This is the exact summary of Nigeria's problem.
The same mindset that led to selling off our compatriots to slavery over 300years ago is still the same mindset of the present ruling elites.

The rhetorical question is what can really salvage this nation or is she beyond redemption ?
