The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 601 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 51,905. One new death was recorded along with 882 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list.

The 601 new cases are reported from 21 states- Lagos (404), FCT (37), Oyo (19), Ondo (14), Abia (13), Enugu (13), Kaduna (13), Edo (12), Kano (12), Kwara (11), Ebonyi (10), Nasarawa (7), Ogun (6), Osun (5), Delta (5), Niger (5), Plateau (4), Bayelsa (4), Katsina (3), Ekiti (2), Imo (2).

The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 601 cases were from 21 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 404. The Federal Capital Territory followed with 37 cases while Oyo State had 19 Cases. 882 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 38,767 from 37,885. One new death was recorded.
