I went to church today and noted the massive gatherings like pre covid-19 era, No use of Facemask.. I could see lots of children clumped together, playing around while their parents are seated.
Now the reason given by the government for not opening schools is because children could go to school and won't observe protocols and might bring the virus to their parents at home.. But right here in the church same children are playing round even with parents around without even any seeming precautions. This same thing goes on in the market. Funny enough schools are more organised than these places.. This comes to the conclusion of what the value system of Nigeria is and why it can't progress.. Without education a country can't progress, how will research and development occur?

The pics you see where taken from far but the crowding is far more from what you are seeing

Following..

OP made a good point.
So, if no CORONAVIRUS is at our crowded markets and the churches why are schools relegated to the background?

You can not understand better until you calm down first. Christianity is based on faith. If you can not praticalize faith in Christ, then, your Christianity is suspicious, you are just a church goer. The grace that resides in church is not what resides in schools. Worldly or canally minded individual can not understand the things of the Spirit because he/she is dead to the Spirit. You went to church to see what is happening but you left your faith at home and here you are narrating super-story.

Peter started sinking when he saw Jesus walking on the sea because he lost faith at that moment. Christianity becomes ordinary religion to you if you can not operate in faith; promises of Jesus are there for you to claim or reject. If you believe it in faith, it will work work for you, if you doubt it a little, sorry, it wouldn't work for you better go on self-protection

Yes, many of us want schools to open so we can go back to our classrooms, but not because they are more organized than churches as reason you gave. Until our educations are restructured, we are just indirectly recruiting unemployed and unemployable youths yearly where some of these half-baked graduates come back to bite us hard by engaging in crimes after frustrations.

How many standard tangible researches had been carried out in the time past when schools were opened and when there was no coronavirus if that is one of your reasons? As school re-opens, government should try to restructure our education system, current system of education is not functioning enough. Let government try to recruit lecturers with industrial practical experience in their fields of studies couple with ability to transfer knowledge even to the dullests in their classrooms.

Method of recruiting new lecturers into our higher institutions should be made opened to learners' participations via internet and not just retaining first class, who never have industrial practical experiences or just considering academic qualification and number of journal already written without considering his/her industrial practical experiences and his/her ability to transfer knowledge to dullest in class

Most of our professors and lecturers can not carry out tangible reaserches even if you give them all money in CBN. The worst part of it is that they can not even teach. What is the advantage of professor/ lecturers who can not transfer knowledge to younger generation? They are just liabilities to government collecting salaries and turning out potential frustrated graduates (in many areas of life) because they can't give what they don't have.

They should stop hiding under canopy of government don't provide grants, blah, blah..., they should come and account for how they spent the little they already collected. Many of the equipment government purchased in their laboratories and workshops, how many of them can they use or operate? They only bring them out during accreditation so that NUC will not close the department.

After accreditation, they will never use them to teach students because they don't even know how to operate many of them because many of the lecturers have never worked in the industries for one day, but they want to help us train potential professional students to industries they've never worked for once.

Well, no time to write much, lots of things are wrong from parents, students, lecturers and government, but not everything should be blamed on government. And just a little calm down from us, school will open. It doesn't pay government either. All will be well
