kingzizzy :
Regardless of what you or anyone else tell themselves, election is still decided by the grassroots. You can only rig where you are popular. IPOB has control of the Igbo grassroots at all levels and are more than capable of defending their votes from rigging machinery of any pro Nigeria politician. The world would stand and take notice when IPOB protest against electoral fraud and imposition of unpopular candidates as elected officials in Igboland than when IPOB goes about protesting with empty flags. IPOB has more leverage than most of you realize.
Having control of all elective positions might not guarantee Biafra, just as it has not guaranteed Catalonia independence from Spain, but it would ensure you can protest for Biafra and fly Biafra flags in the East in peace, it would ensure the world take you serious, since you will have respected political leaders who would not be singing one Nigeria, but either remain neutral or tacitly support the struggle. Your pro Biafra elective leaders would always be on hand to speak up against any use of action against by the FG and would harmonize the struggle and make the world take you serious. You can't be expected the world to take you serious, when you have not won over your turf politically.
It doesn't matter what useless oath they swear. Nigerian leaders swear oaths not to steal and all and still loot the useless country dry. What matters is where their allegiance lie. If their allegiance lie towards Biafra and not to Nigeria, then you have valuable assets placed in positions of power, masquerading as patriotic Nigerians, while they work secretly with you in the dark to destroy Nigeria. Nothing destroys a country faster than traitors and rebels masquerading as patriots. This should be common sense again. But IPOB and it's hierarchy are impervious to advice.
Nobody has removed Abaribe. So you are wrong. No one will remove them. They would simply profess undying love for Nigeria with their mouths, while actions will show they are pro Biafra. They would also occasionally drop cryptic ambiguous messages which would suggest support for Biafra without explicitly saying it. It's a game. The only thing IPOB can do is to keep agitating for a peaceful exit from Nigeria, through a referendum, and show both Nigeria and the international community that they have support. The referendum may not be achieved any time soon, it may not be achieved for many years to come, but the alternative is that Igbos remain part of a failed country that is ever becoming a haven for violent fundamentalists such as Boko haram and killer herdsmen who will decimate the future generation. No, this is not the only thing IPOB can do, rather it's the only thing you have chosen to be doing, which has not only proven ineffective, but plays exactly into the hands of your detractors and does your agitation no good. You have the option to pretend to be Nigerians and destroy the entity from within and another to stay at the gates and be wasting precious lives and time fighting over nothing. Odeyseus chose to get into troy cunningly through his Greek gift after fighting aimlessly and wasting the lives of his men outside the gates of Troy trying to prove the irrelevant point of being men of valour. Wisdom and tact will always trump empty bravery e everyday and time. IPOB should stop wasting the lives of our youths since they have proven to be bereft of ideas.
IPOB and it's current modus operandi are not only useless to herself and her members, but constitute a serious obstacle, an encumbrance to the Igbo nation and our future aspirations both within and outside Nigeria as an entity. IPOB is failing seriously. 2 Likes |
