The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has warned Nigerian parents against sending their children to universities in Northern Cyprus over the incessant and mysterious killing of Nigerians. Nigeria National and or State governments need to create a place, or publicize them if they exist, where parents of prospective university seeking students can seek broader information on safe foreign higher institutions of learning. In addition, news programs do not have to be as narrowly focused as they currently are, they could create wider travel and holidaying abroad content that all help to inform Nigerians more about the world. Right now, too many Nigerians impressions of the world is mired in a sort of pleasant hallucinogenic idealistic pink fog. 2 Likes |

martineverest: Guy allow Nigerians with stupid blame game mentality..Most government do everything for you. even the highest developed countries have their students scattered all over for for various endeavours. They should keep blaming the government while others are surviving and making it steady. |

Excuses:ironically, the way our government subsidises education in naija Is overwhelming.. especially medicine. the cost of education in naija even with it low standard is absolutely cheap.my sister spent about 70k( about 500 dollars) studying medicine for 6 years in Nigeria compared to thousands of dollars spent citizens of Europe and USA for the same course 1 Like |

They will leave the EU Cyprus and go to a war zone and disputed territory. Northern Cyprus is only recognized by Turkey and it is disputed by both Greece and Cyprus |

martineverest: Stop calling it Cyprus. The actual Cyprus is an EU country with respect for the rule of law and is an International Financial Centre. This is Northern Cyprus, an area under the control of Turkey. Many Travel agents are the cause of this, they deceive Nigerians that Northern Cyprus is the same as Cyprus and many of them end up trapped there. There is no Nigerian embassy there. In actual Cyprus, the Nigerian embassy in Greece is accredited to serve Nigerians there. |

My question is, what sort of certificate would one get from such country that he or she couldn't get in some of the African countries like south Africa or even Ethiopia? People like gambling their lives traveling to places they don't know the dos and donts. RIP to the dead. |

Nigerians run from North Cyprus. Try schengen countries especially Germany, 85% of universities are tution free and u re allowed to work 20hr per week during study and 40hr per week during holiday. The issue here is u have to learn the language and show commitment that you can take care of ursef for 12 month by blocking 10000euros which will be given back to you monthly or you look for means to get Sponsorship letter if u can't raise 10k euros. |

Jerusalem1: I swear, the thing tire me. Nigerians can go anywhere just to answer "am abroad". I feel no pity for them , am sorry to say. Before I left Naija, I did much research about my choice countries and eliminated many of them. But some mumu would just jump at anything. And their parents are educated, yet can't guide them right. Smh. |
