"The cumulative total number of RSA holders who were paid benefits for temporary loss of job was 331,003 and were paid a total of N116.88bn, being 25 per cent of the balances of their RSAs as prescribed by the Pension Reform Act 2014.

“A further analysis showed that the private sector accounted for 95.17 per cent of those who benefitted from these payments while the public sector accounted for 4.83 per cent."

With the above statement, it clearly shown that its PRIVATE SECTOR that runs Nigeria Economy and our Government & Representative are docile making non-sense of our economy.

It simply means people lose their jobs in the private sector more.

Na their money dem withdraw... In fact the 25% dey are allowed to withdraw shld even b reviewed upwards. They had worked for it and deserve to enjoy most of it before their deaths
Thanks. It's a scam to enrich the pension firms. If a retiree has 20m un his account, he is allowed to collect 25% 5m. And the rest spread over 15 to 20 yrs. If am am allowed to collect my money and I invest 17m of it in fixed income the rate of return annually can carry a retiree for life and the lump sum still left for his children to enjoy

Go to your PFA. Ask for your account details. Proceed to the company you worked for to complain to them.
Ask them why such is missng. You will get solution from them.

Believe me you, the number of people that lost their jobs has been inflated so that some corrupt elements in the system can divert some of the billions to their own personal account.

How do you explain that a whole 300 thousand people lost a government job.

Is you that don't understand what he is trying to say... He means more people will still lose their jobs because of the bad Government will have... Forget convid-19 why leaders have really let us down.... Can you imagine this senerio: school feeding program during lockdown..etc. Nigeria has turn to punching bag and laughing stock in the comity of Nation. I really sad seeing people praising this Government.

The government doesn't need your praises, it is doing its work quietly and improving lives.
The World Economic report is there for all to see.
Massive infrastructure which has been a major problem to industrialization is receiving a boost.
We are not there yet, but we are better than where we are coming from.

If you do not understand the message, ask for clarity instead of typing nonsense! Those who lost their jobs have access to their pension at 25% rate by law. So, over 300,000 workers who lost jobs and withdrew over 116 billion did so under the law. The money is theirs. You too can apply for 25% withdrawal from your RSA with your PFA, that is, if you have one.

Please what is pfa

when the government is the highest employer of labor what do you think would happen.

nothing dey move for this country, there is too much competition in our business environment, if you start a provision shop today, 10 other people will open their own tommorow.

that's why government job is the best hedge to uncertainty for some people, but that one too is over saturated

even the idiots with PhD from Stanford Universitydey drag government job in Nigeria

thank you my sister, they are always after the downfall of grown business. sometimes they won't give you a free space to start something if you intend to. May God help us and change this Nigeria mentality.
