The clashes of 5 June and 11 June 2020 within the Atyap Chiefdom of Zangon-Kataf LGA and in parts of Kauru LGA triggered the latest cycle of violent strife in parts of southern Kaduna. The 24-hour curfew imposed on all the four affected LGAs has been relaxed to night-time curfews

The Agwatyap expressed his gratitude to Malam Nasir @elrufai for encouraging him about a month ago to initiate the dialogue among the communities in his chiefdom for a peace and reconciliation process

Malam Nasir @elrufai has thanked His Highness, the Agwatyap for his leadership in bringing together the communities in Atyap chiefdom to begin the process of peace-building.

The governor commended the Atyap, Fulani and Hausa communities of Atyap Chiefdom in Zangon-Kataf LGA for the successful peace and reconciliation summit held on Saturday, 22 August 2020.

“All who seek to replace violent strife with harmony can be assured of the unstinting support of the state government for peace and concord in all our communities.” -Malam Nasir @elrufai

“This government has been clear and insistent since 2015 that the ultimate guarantee of peace is the willingness of communities to live in peace and harmony, and their resolve to settle all differences by strictly lawful means.”

This community support is as important as the investments we have made in stationing and maintaining detachments of the military and police in southern Kaduna.

Malam Nasir @elrufai assured the Agwatyap that the state government supports the quest for new layouts to encourage people from different communities to live side by side. He said the road project requested will be undertaken, and the question of options for youths addressed.

“I call on every person of goodwill to support the Atyap Chiefdom’s strong efforts to bring its communities together and stop the bloodshed. Everyone should reject the temptation to take laws into their hands, but instead submit all grievances to the lawful authorities”

Any peace process that allows the babaric killers go without being punished makes no sense. You can't destroy what you can't create, and end up signing a peace deal. Why didn't the killers prioritise peace & conflict resolution strategies before destroying livelihoods? Rubbish.

It's sad that these people are falling for this Taqqiya called peace accord which implies the perpetrators keeping areas they have captured by killing and driving out the indigenous people and going Scot free without prosecution for murder.
By implication, this is what Dr Mailafia is saying of phase one. Fulani invaders are going to get more land for RUGA in that axis.
Phase 2 will see them moving into urban areas and doing the same thing then another peace accord will be signed.
Then the leadership of the urban areas will be shared between the Atyap and the Fulanis, then as time goes on the traditional institution of the Atyap will be degraded and the Fulani Emir will be given influence with federal government cover.
Ask Yoruba people in Ilorin and the Nupe tribe how they got to be ruled by Fulanis. The real Nupe royalty was banished to Patigi from Bida by Fulani jihadists, then Patigi was made a local government ward in Kwara state instead of Niger state by military regime
As it stands now, the Fulanis are negotiating from a position of strength and have subdued the natives into getting cosy with staying alive while their lands are been occupied.

Elrufai is beyond what you see. The pressure has been on him. Especially the NBA rejection which went viral.

The international community has not also forgotten his body bag threats.

He is evil

The people of Southern Kaduna will never be pacified with El Rufai as the Governor of the State. He’s perceived as being far worse than the bandits attacking them. As much as I respect El Rufai as a principled man, he’s too insensitive to occupy the position of a Governor.

Why bother when we know the commander

Just beg him to seize fire

Come to think of it

When you listen to the elrufais the wife, kid, himself they give off this weird vibe
The way they talk with such confidence like they can do and undo with anyone who messes with them whether with the law or otherwise
He even threatened the international community with body bags
I'm only thankful that Mailafia did not chicken out of saying the truth
It all makes sense now!

Well, that's what happened in Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Liberia.

There are many killers walking free because unfortunately society does not have the resources to jail everyone.

Or to simply put it, we don't live in a perfect world.

And before you start, I am just as angry about the killings as you are. If not more
