No need talking about it. Nigeria will depend on it till it is of zero value.

This man, Sanusi, Soludo, Utomi, and others are only regarded as intellectuals because they're not crass. They don't say anything of substance or anything that isn't obvious and their either deceitful like Sanusi about their actual intentions, or unbelievably naive for an adult man like Soludo Utomi and Moghalu. Nigerians want to believe in someone so bad that anyone with a suit that isn't screaming something ignorant or tribal is considered worthy of an audience.

So what are you saying?
That the ones donning traditional attire and spewing nothing but ignorance and tribal hate are better than these ones in tuxedos?
Of course all they say is the "obvious". Because the only thing Nigeria really needs to do to develop is the obvious. Ben-Bruce Murray calls it common sense.
But somehow the agbada and babariga wearing leaders we are stuck we right now can't even figure out that obvious.
You don't need Einsteins to develop Nigeria; all you need are a couple of dudes putting on suit with common sense.

this is a presidential material, very intelligent man...but unfortunately we Are Africans ...we don't want to evolve! we are held down by pettiness like tribal leaning and religiousity

Everything in Nigeria should be privately funded. Government should not be owning things. We need a system where government is just a regulator, not an administrator. That way, we will only need a very small annual national budget. That annual budget of trillions that they are calling is senseless. It's unsustainable

How are we sure this man would not change if he becomes the President of this country?

He sounds intelligent but elections in Nigeria requires more than that.

Does he have to be president before making an impact

that's the problem, we need to be Nigerians first before ethnicity and religion

Tell that to the owners of the Fulani Government of Naijeriya, FGN and see what they have to say.

We’ve been hearing this since God knows when.

People should bring realistic solutions and not the usual theoretical solution that we always dish out which led us to our current position.

The answer is restructuring. But I'm sure it's not what u want to hear.
The executive list has to go if this nation must move forward.

Nigerian economy is still based on 19th Century model: Sell oil and share the revenue. If oil price falls, start multiple taxation.

Innovations and Productivity are missing in the equation.

It isn't the dependence on oil that is the issue but, the fact that the country is cursed in very obvious ways.
How the country will be presented with eloquent, vibrant and intellectually sound minds like this man and still end up with lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed as president befuddles the mind and proves that black magic must be involved. angry angry

What's tha business?

You couldn't have said it better.

Nigeria is obviously cursed.

Tell that to PMB cabal. The cabal sleeps and wakes up with thought of how much crude oil and gas left in the Niger Delta.

He hasn't said anything Buhari is not saying but you resisted.

Buhari has tried to make us self dependent in the area of rice, but many of you resisted.

This one speaks in your accent, wears a suit and practices your religion so what he says is gospel.

How do we achieve restructuring looking at the political climate and the fact that it has to pass through the legislative house.

How do you convince the legislators of a zone that depend solely on federal allocation that they should stand alone?

Those are the practical solutions I was talking about. We all know it’s restructuring but how do you achieve it?

He is better informed than those that have ruled you for ages in Nigeria.

We need to find out if there is something the man has done bad to you in your Awoomamma hometown.

You are the guy who insists that in Imo state, all institutions of government that induce development must remain in Owerri, unarguably because Owerri is easier to get to from your Awo village. You argue always from your backside.

Thank God that you said deputy and not governor of CBN.
The powers that be in the country which is the president and his cabinet members don't allow the CBN to perform or function independently.
The CBN people are hallelujah boys to the presidency.

Nigeria’s democracy is a false democracy. Who next takes the Office of the president is determined beforehand by Fulani who the political structure suits. That’s why you think that this man can’t run a successful presidential campaign and win.

Nigeria's problem is not bad government not bad leaders but majority of the population are illiterate and also very stupid people. All over the world it is the same with Nigerian. Nigerians will tell you their government can do nothing for them then they will go to another country and say I want to vote for in Nigerian illiteracy is a problem. Illiteracy is a big problem with Nigeria all the Industries take it out of the country the next day they travel to other countries to work for the same industry only to be rejected and their children be roaming around the place doring prostitution.

Not just the elections but also the types of people leaders end up surrounding themselves with. An upright leader is useless when surrounded by over-zealous ministers, advisers and cabals.
