A self acclaimed Commandant General of the Nigeria Peace Corps with the name Mustapha Mohamed from Gombe State has continuously enriching himself with the name of Nigeria Peace Corps and its yearly upcoming inauguration. Some members of the Nigerian Peace Corps who have spent so much under the leadership of Mr. Mustapha Mohamed (the self acclaimed Commandant General of the organization) disclosed the information to our news room on Thursday August 27, 2020.
One of the officers who spoke on behalf of other members on the grounds of anonymity said ‘’it’s palpable that Mr. Mustapha Mohamed is out to make money for himself. He has been recruiting people without any qualification and selling big ranks to anyone provided you have the money, constantly using the word INAUGURATION to swindle people and making money without minding the stress and hardship people are going through in this pandemic and hard times. The money he’s making from uniform, accessories, ID cards etc is no longer enough for him, now he has introduced Training fee, Meeting levy, World Peace Day levy, imposing award fee of 500k on innocent Nigerians seeking for job, Venue fee, Camping fee, Ranks always available, all are strategies he has been using to make more money for himself. Who is he accountable to? No one, People looking for job are being asked to pay for this and that regularly. Have you ever seen where people are being asked to buy award? People can only appreciate award given to them because they merited it and not to buy it. What about the inauguration dates Mustapha mentioned in the past that came and gone without any inauguration of Nigeria Peace Corps holding? We have never seen any representative from the interior ministry, presidency or any of the inauguration committee members he always mention. Only Mustapha knows and talks with them on the air because we have discovered that no Ministry or anyone from the presidency is behind him. None of the information and stories he has been telling us is genuine. Mustapha has been using our brain for a long time, intimidating and threatening us of losing our ranks if we fail to pay any amount he asked for at any giving time. Most of us have put in more than #1,500,000 and he kept on taxing us the more, calling us fools and amassing wealth for him-self. We’re just innocent Nigerians seeking for job but he has taken advantage of us to continue buying cars, properties and living large in Abuja. We call on the authorities and the law enforcement agencies to investigate this matter’’. Thank you.
