As earlier announced by organisers, it will be a tennis party without fans as it happens during the concluding half of the European football season. For an individual sport like tennis, its like taking to the dance floor without music vibes.

Federer out of this year's US Open through Injury woes and already setting sight on 2021 and Rafael Nadal boycotting the tournament due to ravaging Corona Virus cases in New York has left the biggest Hard court Grandslam event with less hype and much needed competitiveness

Still hovering around COVID-19 restrictions, Tennis World number 1 Novak Djokovic a three time US Open Champion who earlier in the year frowned at the strict COVID-19 measures contemplated by the US Open officials has applied a reverse gear after recently recovering from Corona Virus has flashed the green light to be part of the proceedings at flushing Meadows.

Djokovic still has to follow the precautionary procedure of 14 days quarantine requirements after the US Open. This means players who took part in the US Open cannot automatically make a return trip to Europe to take part in the Madrid Open clay Court build up to Roland Garros, which comes up immediately after the US Open. Defending Champion Rafael Nadal and Wimbledon last year female Champion Simona Halep will not feature at this year's US Open Grand Slam tournament that will be adequately stream down and matches played in an empty flushing Meadow

Most notably absent from the 2020 U.S. Open will be both the men’s and women’s defending champions: Rafael Nadal and Bianca Andreescu. But they’re certainly not the only players opting out, with Former US Open Champion Stan Wawrinka also on the list. Nick Kyrgios, Elina Svitolina, Gael Monfil, Kei Nishikori, Jo Wilfred Tsonga, Kiki Bertens, Belinda Bencic, Juan Martin Del Potro and a host of others. Currently Women's World number One Ashleigh Barty who is expected to be in Madrid also joined the US Open boycott list. This years US Open will follow some drastic measures that will see a change and replacement of line Judges with an electronic system, this decision was taken to reduce the number of people required to work at the event in view of the pandemic situation.

However the tournament will retain chair umpire who will call the scores after the electronic system makes the line call. The line call electronic system known as the 'Hawk-Eye Live' technology.

With demanding calls for the tournament to be suspended like this Year's Wimbledon Grandslam tournament, Novak Djokovic will be aiming his 18th Grandslam title at the flushing Meadows when the tournament kick start on August 31st putting up much needed pressure on Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal both on 20 and 19 Grandslam apiece to become the most decorated Tennis player of all time. Do you think Novak Djokovic is greedily chasing down on Federer despite the lack of a star studded competition and the circumstances involve in this year's Tennis Calendar season?

This should be an easy ride for Novak. Why pass on the opportunity to clinch a 4th?
