Instead, Nigerians protests led to GEJ partly emptying our reserves to keep fuel at 97 then 87 naira.

Buhari is doing the same thing.

The truth is, subsidy or underrecovery has to go. In exchange for high prices, we get functional refineries, and with the added bit of privatizing NNPC, we get more investment and jobs, and eventually low petrol prices

Imagine a bag of local rice that was sold #10000 to #12000 when foreign rice was still being imported.. It means they were making profit at that price.. But the moment borders were close and the local rice became the only available commodity, prices went up. What does that tells you? It means the profit is now multiple. All those suggestion you are making about petrol will go same way.. It is the Draculas in business
