Exactly. Barca themselves are very foolish.. if I be chairman or owner of that club honestly I'd be so pissed a player is holding the club to ransom almost every season. Is there a season where the boy no go threaten the board he's living.? They really need to start planning for life outside him and discard him when he runs down his contract.

1..tink u need to read more about buy out clauses in football deal and mind u cr7 in madrid last contract was 1billion pounds, wen juve came calling they sold him for 100+ and perez cash in, thats what messi was expected and it doesn't mean city would pay dt cash if barca wants to sell, messi would stay since barca aint interested now and walk away for free after the season..

Normally, the club should have lowered that figure, so other clubs can come around to buy him, liKe Real Madrid did for Ronaldo.

What the hell are you talking about? Nobody ever paid 1billion for cr7, thus nobody ever cashed in.

although he had a 1 billion buyout clause on his contract, nobody paid for it, and certainly NOT Juve... thus Barca sticking to their €700m buyout clause is a dead end.
