The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 124 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 54,587. Twenty-one new deaths were recorded along with 188 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list. The 124 new cases are reported from 13 states - Lagos (42), FCT (25), Katsina (14), Kaduna (11), Kwara (  , Ondo (7), Delta (4), Anambra (3) Oyo (3), Edo (2), Ogun (2), Osun (2), Cross River (1).The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 216 cases were from 16 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 42. The Federal Capital Territory followed with 25 cases while Katsina State had 14 cases. 188 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 42,627 from 42,439. Twenty-one new deaths were recorded.
