Pleas elets not get it twisted. why didnt PDP release the call log on Justice Salami for that whole period? why did they select? do u really think some PDP members were not calling Justice Salami? even the lead counsel to Oyinlola and Segun Oni's appeal had his phone number in the PDP log. so what does this show? both parties are guilty.

Some of us had always known that the road projects in Lagos, the way judges are appointed in Lagos State, the elevation of Lagos State judges to the upper echelons of the Federal Judiciary, have been driven in the last 12 years, entirely by the interests of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his associates, political or business.

When we screamed that Lagos road rehabilitation, health and education contracts are GROSSLY overinflated, some ignoramuses came up with the preposterous line that "at least Fashola is doing something, even if he's stealing a bit". The only problem with that line is that the incumbent is not stealing only a bit. The above indicates that SERIOUSLY LARGE sums of money may have been moved out of Lagos through the likes of Tunji Olowolafe, Chairman of both Deux Projects and Lekki Concession Company (LCC), and several other front companies, like PLYCON Construction, allegedly owned directly by Fashola, and companies in the Chaghoury Group, like Hitech, ITB, Eko Hotel, Palmyra and the much-vaunted ARM.

Skye Bank PLC should also be investigated closely. I think some interesting skeletons will be found here, and in the purchase and sales of Lagos State shares in the telcom outfit now called Airtel.

Lagosians have been complacent for too long, and have allowed themselves to be deceived by Bola Tinubu's endless rants about the PDP, due only to their own slovenliness. I tell you, a people deserve the leadership they get, if they are so breathtakingly gullible, as the people of Lagos State have been for the last 12 years!

SPOT ON!!!!

Are we also by chance considering the fact that he was the judge in this case and would most likely have been in touch with counsel's from both parties? These call logs do not prove anything. Judges actually are in touch with lawyer's who have cases in their court. So the mere speculation and concoction of bull shi*t by PDP is all to take attention away from the CJN. The CJN should be sacked and relieved of his job. I cannot wait for the NBA's probe. I would think PDP should be able to effectively prove their case, and would have fought the judgments if they thought they were in the right, and rightfully won those states. They have the means (money and connection), far more than ACN. Nigerians are not deceived.

As that may be the case.
But who knows if they were not working on tight deadlines and consulting the judge who was kind enough to be available to all parties? This case is a flop and has no backbone. Call logs do not prove anything except you have call recordings or excerpts which is totally against the law. All i see is PDP seriously violating the law, and if people do not fight them over this show of shame then we lose our right to privacy. Soon they will bug people's phones and bring evidence for us. They have turned themselves to police and thief. There is a limit to PDP gra gra, we have laws in Nigeria.

This politicization of Judiciary can only happen in Nigeria  cry
Re: Pdp Moves Against Salami by sirabbey(m): 8:39am On Feb 25, 2011
Politics of desperation and no principles has been the bane of Nigeria political class. PDP is a moster, ACN is fast becoming another devil while the umpire-the Judiciary is helplessly trying to take side. whichever side the judiciary takes, she is bound to lose, violated and disgraced. With this dance of shame in the public the future of our great country looks bleak and damned. God please save us from ourselves. This self destructive stance of Nigeria by Nigerians is frightening to say the least.

Since when did Bola Tinubu become a lawyer? If he isn't, then why do the call logs show that your Justhief Salami was "in touch" with him too? What on earth could Salami and Tinubu have been discussing? ? ?

The CJN may also be complicit in the massive corruption in the Judiciary, but evidence suggests that Justhief Salami is even more so. And for that reason they must BOTH resign. Any attempt to force the CJN to resign and allow Justhief Salami continue in office would be thoroughly unacceptable.

The issue involved here is not how the call logs were gotten from MTN. The law is very clear in this regard and it simply states that it does not matter how an evidence is obtained. Even though illegally or if it was stolen, as far as it is seen to be relevant to the case at hand then the evidence will be admissible in court. The main issue therefore is if the tracing of the calls is able to prove the guilt of salami and his cohorts.

if you obtain an evidence illegally, how can such evidence be legal?

you be real mumu 0000000000000000000

If you do not know or are not knowledgeable about how our legal system operates why dont u humbly ask rather than resorting to name calling and showing your ignorance to the world. For the benefit of doubt let me enlighten you. Ask any lawyer around you to oblige you with these authorities and explain how it is used. Fawehnmi v. N.B.A (1989) 2 NWLR (Pt105) 558@621 the law states thus:

"Once a piece of evidence is relevant, it is admissible irrespective of how it was obtained"
Lemme even educate you further, the law even has this to say.

"It matters not how you get(referring to evidence); even if you steal it, it would be admissible"
So my brother, who is the mumu.
Re: Pdp Moves Against Salami by againstGEJ(m): 12:39am On Feb 26, 2011
LOL. We now know who the mumu is or are.

Illegal evidence is admissible in criminal proceedings (the other issue would be the weight to attach to the evidence) but same cannot be said of civil proceedings. The issue at hand falls under criminal proceedings and except the AG Federation gives fiat, PDP cannot tender the evidence not to talk of prosecution.

Best regards.
