woman, identified as Mrs. Chiamaka Okechi from Ezeama Mgbagbuowa, Enugu State, has been seriously injured by her abusive husband, Mr. Obinwanne Chiafo.

It was gathered that the victim who was forced to marriage at the age of 13 and started giving birth early, has not had it peaceful in her 13-year-old marriage as she has had to endure several forms of violence and abuses from her spouse.



According to an NGO, Women Aid Collective (WACOL), Obinwanne had severely battered his wife and forcefully ejected her from their matrimonial home in 2015, including taking custody of six out of their eight children .

A mother and her two years old daughter have been reportedly suffocate to death in Enugu State of Nigeria.

It was reported that mother and her two years old daughter died after sleeping with a generator in their sitting room which suggests that they suffocated.




The Enugu state police command has begun an investigation into the demise of a 32-year-old woman, Ifeoma Nwachukwu, and her two-year-old daughter, Chimuanya Nwachukwu.

A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, Ndukwe Daniel, says late Ifeoma and her daughter went to bed on September 3 and by the next day, September 4, failed to wake up.

The spokesperson said upon receiving the report, operatives of the Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, SP Henry Chijioke Imo, visited the scene of the incident.

He said preliminary investigation showed that the deceased and her husband, one Joshua Nwachukwu, four children, and their two male visitors all slept in the same room after taking Spaghetti for dinner with a Generator said to be switched on in their sitting room.
