The Deputy National Chairman, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), South, Engr. Uchenna Okogbuo, has described the re-election of Attorney Charles Onyirimba in the Okigwe Senatorial zone bye-election as an indication that the party has come to stay in Imo State.

Chief Okogbuo who was speaking while addressing newsmen after Attorney Onyirimba was re-elected, said his emergence has shown that APGA is an organised party despite various allegations of disunity by those he described as charlatans and enemies of the party that are jittery to accept what the party has achieved.

The APGA Deputy Chairman South, who directed his convoy to the venue of the primaries at Ehime Mbano on his way from a party function that held in Anambra State, thanked the delegates for the massive turn out and sacrifice. He commended them for arriving before 10 am, adding that their early arrival shows seriousness and commitment.

Chief Okogbuo, disclosed that he arrived the venue to have a first hand information of proceedings at the venue, stressing that the outcome of the election is an indication that APGA will capture the State and National Assembly seats in Imo and beyond when elections are called up, pointing out that this has also sent a signal to sceptists and those seating on the fence that the party is prepared.

The APGA chieftain lauded the Chairman of the Electoral panel, INEC officials, men of the Police,DSS, Civil Defense among others for providing security during the exercise, pledging that party members will support Attorney Charles Onyirimba to succeed in his new portfolio.
